Description
Goal of project is to help educate/encourage students to consider a career in long-term care, by creating a video of a career information interview student(s) would conduct of current employees in the profession. Video would be shared via IHCA’s social media channels.
• Student would work with Iowa Health Care Association team to identify a member long-term care organization (i.e., nursing home or assisted living community) in their community and key contacts at that organization.
• Student would develop a list of career exploration informational interview questions to ask of staff members at that organization to learn more about a career in the field. Student would also develop a script to use to record the video.
• IHCA staff would assist the student in contacting the organization to identify team members to interview and to schedule the interview. IHCA will also provide the appropriate photo release forms students will use to get permissions from those being interviewed.
• Student will visit facility to conduct and videotape the interview.
• Student will edit the video into a 1-2 minute video that can be shared via social media to encourage others to consider a career in long-term care.

Deliverables
• Students will create video script and informational interview questions to be reviewed by IHCA prior to the videotaping. • Students will film, edit and produce a 1-2 minute video using that script to provide to IHCA to promote on its social media channels.
