Description
In JA Company Program Pop-Up, students will develop an entrepreneurial mindset and skills they can use in everyday life that will also make them assets to future employers as intrapreneurs. They will gain foundational skills and knowledge needed to plan, promote, launch, and run a business, while exploring roles and responsibilities related to finance, marketing, and sales within a business structure.

JA Company Program Pop-Up is a student-driven project experience that tasks students with achieving a profitable business goal to donate proceeds to
a charitable cause. Students are exposed to the real-life decision-making experiences of an entrepreneur as they manage logistics to set up and successfully run a product campaign or service-related event.

Competition Project
Competition Parameters:
**While JA Company Program is a phenomenal stand along experience for schools, Junior Achievement USA runs a national JA Company Program competition each year where student created businesses across the country compete to be names the top JA Company Program of the year! Participation in this national competition will be available.
Deliverables
Through participation in JA Company Program "Pop Up" students will: - Create and/or execute a real business plan. (Not a simulation!) - Work with local business leaders and mentors during the process and rely on them for guidance. - Experience the teamwork, decisions, and various roles that need to be executed to be successful. - Walk away with a lasting memory of entrepreneurship that JA students remember for years!

What Business Partners Will Provide
Junior Achievement will provide: - The format, structure and curriculum in the the form of developed Meetings that guide students through the process from the teacher or mentor perspective. - JA's umbrella of insurance for peace of mind. - Pre-Determined business plans for those choosing a turn-key learning experience. - Recruitment, training, and preparation of a small team of business mentors to meet with students digitally and provide guidance, experience and perspective.
What Schools Will Need To Provide
School will provide: - A group of willing students (5-35) - Time for students to meet with each other and/or business mentors (during, before, or after school). - Assist in coordinating and supervising students when not engaged with Mentors and JA Staff.
