Description
For this project students will research and learn more about animals found in Iowa! These animals could be from the wild or found on farms. Students will learn about the environment the animals live in, the food that they eat, and how they survive in their surroundings. The students will work with their local vet or farmer to discover the proper environment, food, medicine/vaccines and other ways that the animal lives. The vet and farmer will provide the students with real life examples of food, medicine/vaccine, and opportunities to take care of the animals. The students will then create a poster/diorama that best represents their animal and in the process create a step by step instruction on how best to take care of the animal. This poster/diorama will then be presented to the vet/farmer and describe how the students would best take care of the animal, based upon the information gathered.
