Work-based learning has been around since the middle ages and continues to evolve as our Iowa economies and communities evolve and change. This project seeks to discover which innovative careers in the areas of Renewable Energy, Engineering, Information technology, Entrepreneurism, Automation, Careers in a Sustainability economy Iowa HS students have interest in and which of the essential skills for the workplace Iowa HS students are most interested in learning about.

11-12 grade students interested in market research and economic development
Deliverables
HS students will work to develop tools to measure future career and essential skills interests of a representative sample of their HS peers in Iowa. They will then craft a report of recommendations and formulate ideas in regard to the best way to deliver those experiences and skills within the context of their school day.
